Jennifer Aniston has fun in ‘Life of Crime’
The engaged duo have hightailed it to Los Cabos, Mexico, for a sizzling summer getaway, and, a source tells E! News, it looks like the handsome couple are taking full advantage of the vacay’s luxe offerings and romantic vibe. Not to mention enjoying the company of their travel buddies: Aniston and Theroux are joined on the trip by pal Jason Bateman (who costarred with Aniston in Horrible Bosses) and his wife, Amanda Anka. They were kissing passionately and seemed very much in love,” our source says. Aniston clearly got the royal treatment from her attentive fiance. Clasos.com/Splash News “When Jennifer wanted to get out of the water, Justin went and got a towel for her and then held it up for her and wrapped her up,” the eyewitnesses said. “He was doting on her and very chivalrous. They were never far from each other and clearly wanted to spend all of their time together.” PHOTOS: Jennifer Aniston’s best looks At one point, “Jen and Justin swam to the edge of the pool and talked to Amanda and Jason, who were sitting on chairs,” our source adds, noting that “Jennifer spent all day tanning by the pool with Justin, Jason and Amanda.” “Jennifer was sipping on SmartWater and listening to music,” we’re told. “The group had lots to talk about and seemed very relaxed together. Jennifer Aniston was joined by her fiance Justin Theroux at the premiere of her latest film Life of Crime at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14. Looking absolutely stunning, the 44-year-old actress stayed close to Theroux, 42, who was her biggest supporter all evening. Neither ate, but Theroux did have a whiskey on the rocks as the We’re the Millers star sipped on SmartWater, a source tells Us Weekly . The two were affectionate with another, with Theroux smiling toward his bride-to-be as Aniston walked the red carpet afterward. The actress wore a strapless light purple Vivienne Westwood dress and nude heels for her big night, with a slight overlap of fabric near the waistline. The role is a big change for the actress , and multiple sources revealed to Us that Aniston was game to shoot an unsettling scene — where she is nearly sexually assaulted and has her bra ripped off. “Being the level of actor that she is you would imagine that she would be closed off, but she was actually very giving and brave in the scene,” a production source told Us. “She wanted to get it right.”
Happily, everyone involved thinks they have done justice to the memory of Leonard, who famously detested most movies made from his novels. As for Aniston, she trusted Schechter almost instantly, so it was easy to say yes to Life of Crime. “I met Dan and it was pretty much a no-brainer because he was pretty much 100 percent clear on everything that he wanted.” Robbins, sitting next to Aniston at the press conference, said he felt the same way, finding it easy to say yes to playing the super-jerk married to Aniston. “At this stage of my career, I’m more interested in more quality stuff with a good script and a director that I really enjoy meeting. So it seems like a no-brainer to me, too. I wish more films were being made like this.” Robbins is 54 and in a ripe, relaxed state in his career. Aniston is only 44, but years past her star-making turn in the TV series Friends. “I’m just grateful to continue to be asked,” Aniston said of getting roles in so many movies, most recently in Life of Crime, We’re the Millers, Wanderlust, Horrible Bosses and Just go With It. “I feel that I’m having a lot more fun playing characters that I can disappear into a little more than the norm. So, for me, it just feels like a wonderful second act. And I’m just thrilled, because we all have a lot in us. It’s just about being given the opportunity and having somebody who’s excited and enthusiastic and a visionary — like Dan. “As Tim was saying, at this stage I just want to do really good material and work with really wonderful people who are committed to doing just that.
